Dream Job Quote I really liked and can relate to

The following quote was taken from Employmentspot.com:

Chances are your first job will not be your dream job, but one of many as you work your way to the top. Know what your career goals are and talk to other professionals so that you know what steps to take to obtain your dream job.

I believe that if our dream is to find that perfect career, then it will happen. We have to stay focused and know what it will take to make it to that destination. Every job will give us the skills we need to advance until we reach that dream job.

Knowing what you want is a huge step in the right direction. It is better to try for years on what you want than waste your time on something you despise.Only reflect back on the experience you gained in past jobs. Go after your dreams.

Bullies & snobs in high school, and celebrities in society

Most high school classmates that were once self-centered continue to act the same way. These are the same students that ignored and picked on less popular students at school. They continue to carry on this destructive pattern in present time. Some people never change their ways, well, until they have to change, otherwise they'll be alone.

I have researched actions of bullies and these so-called people that think they're better than everyone else. It seems to be a constant theme at school and in society.

People will focus more on what celebrities are doing than on ways to improve their lives. I do respect the people behind the scenes, especially the ones that make things happen without growing a big head over their accomplishments.

On the contrary, being recognized for hard work is a good feeling. There's no reason why you can't share your accomplishments with others. It's the people that take advantage of their celebrity status - doing as they wish - without having any respect for anyone, that need a reality check.

Because of their egos, they've caused many people pain. The same goes for these bullies and snobs that want to impress others, but they feel miserable inside. They are shallow, lifeless humans that will do whatever it takes to become popular and to get what they want out of life.

There are celebrities that deserve respect such as Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, George Clooney, Sandra Bullock and many others. They are good people with big hearts. Some are able to get second chances in life, but manage to ruin their opportunities because they have little control to ward off drugs and alcohol.

Many bullies turn to suicide because they feel worthless for treating others bad. People think that only those who were bullied and treated terribly tend to contemplate and even commit suicide.

This is the main reason that many bullies, snobs and celebrities are worthless to society. They only floss their material possessions in the face of those that struggle to make a living. These very people make others feel less fortunate about their own existence. I see it now. It is a common theme in society. But, intelligent adolescents know how to take advantage of their education to become better in life - citizens that do more for society than anyone can imagine. They are the physicians, scientists, engineers, educators, and the lifelines to the future.

There's nothing wrong with pursuing a professional career to become famous. Really, the ones that complain about their privacy knew beforehand that their fame would be a problem. Why complain about having more in life? Anyone would trade places with their celebrities. Others are smart enough to know that having privacy is better than being rich and famous. Having fame is a significant part of drug and alcohol abuse. Essentially, these people feel alone.

Nobody wants to be alone, especially when so many people act if they like them, but will avoid them once they've lose their popularity. Business is a cruel part of society. People will step over others to get what they want. Snobs, bullies and celebrities will only change after they feel alone and unimportant. It seems that attempting suicide is a way to get attention. Maybe there is a better way to break the chain.

Because when these people fail, society feels sorry for them. While the snobs, bullies and celebrities are on their high pedestals, they couldn't care less about anyone. Of course, it is not fair to place every person under these categories as cruel people. Indeed, these are assessments taken from many articles discussing social problems at their worse, the very ones that cause less fortunate people to emotionally struggle in life.

The catch in choosing what to write

Write what you enjoy. You don't want to find yourself saying, "I'm glad yesterday is over with." That's how I feel after writing academic projects. Don't get me wrong, I'm good at writing academic papers, but the constant searching and making sure everything is cited can be nerve wracking, to say the least. Write about what interests you because nothing's worse than struggling to write something you dislike.

Write wherever you want

As a writer, you can write wherever you want. That's the fun thing about being a writer. With gadgets such as the I-Phone, you can now write comfortably anywhere, even on a beach. You can keep the laptop at home. Write on your I-Phone. It may seem irritating at first, or even frustrating to many because the screen is so small, but once you get the hang of it, you'll have a blast. The I-Phone can do just about anything you want it to do. You can sit in a bookstore, at the beach, or in many other places, and you can write what you want and be free of the inconvenience of lugging around laptops, backpacks and mesenger bags.

Shut the door on your story

Have you been writing your first novel, or even considered delivering on your dreams to write a screenplay? Shutting the door on your story means your goal will be to deliver a completed story without having it sit around for years in a stockpile of unfinished projects. Plan your stories as you would do with building something, anything really, that captures your imagination.

The most interesting aspect of writing is that you can write anything you want; there's no limits to writing. Writing only takes for you to decide on  shutting the door on your story. Your stories serve no purpose when their collecting cyberdust on your computer, or when you don't recognize them anymore because it's been several years since your last writing binge.

Sometimes writing seem like an AA meeting to those that fear that they will actually enjoy writing a story. People would rather forget about their past projects, not wanting to take another dive into a story because it will attack their mind.

In no way is writing an evil ploy to starve your mind. Writing complimented with reading are a perfect team. You can stimilate your mind so fast it will actually surprise you. Shut the door on your story now because you can then begin another project.

You don't have to be a serious writer to write. You can dedicate yourself to write for a few moments in a day. It really doesn't matter what you write, only that you take the next step into working on shutting the door to your story and moving onto another exciting story.

Deliver your success today, don't wait to reflect on should've, could've, would've. Do it now! Write your screenplay, novel or school project. The longer you wait, the harder it will be later on. There are no rules to writing, only the ones you make in your stories. Shut the door on your story, realize your potential as a writer.

James Cameron inspires me to write

Every time James Cameron writes and directs a film, it inspires me more-and-more to complete the many screenplays in my arsenal. I have a bin that has many scripts, ones in which I need to revise. I just need to be inspired to release these completed projects into motion.

After Avatar, I really want to move into the right direction - to become a professional writer. James Cameron is a great writer that inspires my writing. While there are many famous screenwriters out there, I respect the work that James Cameron has done and will continue to do in the near future.

Enemy of the State

Enemy of the State is an awesome film. It hit the film scene over a decade ago. Since then, CGI has taken over the core of filmmaking. Writing, directing and acting can turn good films into great masterpieces.

Why are film directors able to control their cast

Film directors are leaders that set out to inspire their cast into believing a vision. People may think of directors as a small part of a film's success, but they are actually the reason a film becomes successful.

One good example of this notion is analyzing James Cameron's Terminator films versus that of the new Terminator Salvation. Cameron has a vision in every one of his films because he knows how to use his abilities to direct the cast. He finds ways to maintain perfection, which aspiring filmmakers embrace as genius.

MC G could have directed a better Terminator film by asking more of his actors and removing scenes that boggled down the story. There were moments that moviegoers laughed, and that really ruined the Terminator franchise.

The TS film failed to produce fear, which had been a huge part of Terminator's success. Christian Bale's motivational speech at the end of Terminator Salvation represented one of those instances where a director failed to use leadership.

There is never a part in any of James Cameron's films that induce laughter, unless he meant for the scene to be comedic. Cameron is a serious filmmaker who has the talents to capture the illusion of storytelling. He always manages to successfully transfer his vision to the silver screen. Cameron continues to be a successful writer/director, yet again, with his new Avatar film.

While writers have authorship in constructing a film, directors provide the leadership required to carry out a vision.

Don't focus too much on what you want...

Don't focus too much on what you want...

Instead, look at ways to inspire others.

With inspiring others with your talents,

you will feel something greater - moral rewards.

The Ted Bundy film

After watching Ted Bundy movie, it showed you how psychotic this madman was in killing all those women. Also, the legal system made the mistake of allowing this man to escape the second time around, eventually resulting in the slaying of young girls out in Florida.

The film demonstrated how Bundy lived a double life, but managed to go on a killing spree without having any remorse for the lives he took, only fearing the loss of his own. If the legal system did their jobs back then, the Floridian girls would still be alive. They had Bundy in custody, but couldn't prevent him from escaping.

Since Bundy was convicted and put to death, the legal system has implemented a better strategy for preventing prisoners from fleeing confinement. Psychologists would have benefited from studying Bundy - to determine his motivation for murdering women and managing to function in society.

I-Phone Barnes & Noble App

I discovered a feature unlike no other. Today, while trying to search for a book, I noticed a little camera icon next to the search window. I had no clue as to what it would do. I picked up a book, and took a picture of it.

To my amazement, I discovered that by taking a picture, Barnes & Noble system could read the cover, and essentially tell you details about the book - name, author, cost and whether it is available. Awesome application! Just another reason to own an I-Phone.

The Second Coming of the Kings

The Sacramento Kings are going to be a force to reckon with in the near future. They are competing in close games against the best teams in the NBA. They haven't been blowed out of any games in recent time. Tyreke Evans is establishing himself as the next great player, a future star that has put up all-around numbers like Oscar Robertson, Michael Jordan and LeBron James did in their rookie seasons.

The Kings could have let their fourth pick detour them, but Geoff Petrie did what he does best; he selected three great rookies in Evans, Casspie and Brockman. What more can the Kings ask for than a young group of hungry players. Of course, in the past few weeks the Kings have gone on a slide, losing 7 out of 8. Out of those seven losses, the Kings played some really good teams, some of the best in the NBA. They lost to the Lakers in double OT at Arco Arena, and then a week later they pushed them to the brink once again; it took Kobe's 3-pointer to win the game by 1-point.

The Kings are establishing themselves as the future of the NBA. Even when they lose games against good teams, they don't go down without a fight. The current Kings remind me of the Webber team in 1998-99. Indeed, that 1998 team made the playoffs and gave the defending Western Champions, Utah Jazz, a run for their money. But this Kings team, as we see them now, will not make the playoffs because of the talented Western Conference. There is a huge upside in seeing the Kings return to the same greatness they had when pushing the Lakers to the brink of elimination in 2002.

The Kings have similar players. Casspit is like Peja. Tyreke is actually a better all-around player than what the Kings had in a guard position before. We have Thompson, Hawes, Greene, Brockman, Udrih, Sergio, and also Martin and Garcia coming back after they endured recent injuries that sidelined them at the beginning of the season. While the Kings are most likely going to miss the playoffs this year, they are easily proving that there's something to look forward to in the near future, especially with having Evans performing like an all-star. He is another great superstar player in the making. For that reason alone, the Kings are going to mirror the results of the 2002 Kings; they will hurdle over the choke label and win the ring that escaped them.

To make it much more exciting for Kings fans, this current team will mature soon, and they will surely make a run at an NBA title in three years. I wouldn't be surprised if the Kings make a run sooner at going deep in the playoffs. The Kings had sold out games consistently for most of their venture in Sacramento. However, they lost their luster after going a miserable 17-65 last year. We would all agree that it was well worth the sacrifice to miss three playoffs because we received three great rookies in the 2009 NBA Drafts and other prominent rookies from the years before. What looked like a dark future is now much brighter. The "Second Coming" of the Kings will lead this struggling franchise back to its glory days. They will learn from their mistakes this year, and be much better for years to come. You can count on it.

The Sacramento Kings are excited to watch yet once again. Kings fans remember when Jason Williams "White Chocolate" used to throw sweet passes to Webber and Co. Since the core players left, the Kings had suffered from low attendance in the past few years. After Rick Adelman was fired, the Kings tailed off, failing to make the playoff three consecutive years. This was after the Kings had made it to the playoffs 8 straight years, even posting 50 win seasons 6 years in a row. Now comes another task; Petrie will need to figure out which veteran to go after in the off-season. He needs to sign one that has the ability to drastically improve the Kings, like a Pau Gausol impact player for the defending World Champion Los Angeles Lakers.

The Kings have recovered very quickly from posting their worst season in franchise history. I am confident that Kings fans of the past will see their Kings riding the high wave again. The current group has so much talent, they are a threat each game. LBJ guarded Evans out of respect because he noticed how good the rookie had been in recent games. That Cavs/Kings game turned into another OT thriller. The Kings are one impact player away from becoming an elite team. Until that time, we will enjoy the exciting product on the floor.

Sacramento Kings will regain their throne to win their first NBA title since their franchise last earned a lone one in 1951, as part of the Rochester Royals. The missed opportunities in the 2002 Western Conference Championship and the Webber injury in 2003 will be a mere memory because these young Kings have a bright future ahead of them. I hope to see the Kings don on the black uniforms again. We will see where this current group takes us in the near future. We can sit back and enjoy the close and exciting games. Go Kings!

Hungry?

The Drawings were all done using Iphone App, "Doodle Buddy"

It is interesting how you can draw on your I-Phone using your finger. Jackson Pollock imagined that art would be better done with a drip abstract technique. Well, a similar technique can be applied to producing images on your I-Phone. These images can be saved in your photo album, and then transferred to your e-mail, off to print and possibly on a mat to frame.

If you haven't already, download the Doodle Buddy app. This is an awesome app, which can make a boring moment into one that is remembered, and filled with stylish finger paintings. Check out my sample drawings below this blog post. Also, this is my 300th post. I have more posts than blog visitors. Go figure! Anyways, enjoy the drawings and the blog articles. Thanks to those that take the time to visit my blog site. Happy New Year!

p.s. Writers can use this Doodle Buddy App to storyboard their scripts and novels. The possibilities are endless.

What was I trying to draw?

Imagine your drawings as whatever you want them to be. It appears that I was trying to drawing what it looks like as Egypt during the night. Though my drawing may not communicate Egypt, well, it does give a night theme. Try to capture an image and make it into some visually enlightening.

Check out the "Apocalypse Man" on the History Channel

I watched the Apocalypse Man on the History Channel, which I might add is a good program. The protagonist educates the viewer on how to survive after an apocalypse. The show is well informative. While an end is discussed in the Bible, one has to consider a possible conflict which can lead to the destruction of civilization.

The protagonist determines information as a primary skill that is demanded. Knowledge holds extensive power in civil unrest because the Internet and other information centers will be nonfunctional. Having diverse knowledge in many areas prepares a person to move around.

The filmmakers did a good job with shooting the film, making a viewer feel as if they are isolated throughout the viewing. The landmarks in the film are useful to setting up an end of days environment.

What is a person's goal after an apocalypse? The protagonist suggests that finding resources will improve your chance at survival. Though it is hard to survive without having any access to communicate with other humans, the only real individual you can count on is yourself.

The protagonist constantly mentions securing yourself from unwanted conflict. Any person that is alone has the tendency to fall into a psychological slump. The same theme occurs in most films involving an end. Finding people that are not a threat requires meeting them on terms other then unplanned run-ins.

Whenever you have a free moment, watch this program. It is really useful. Remember; you are all you have to surviving after an apocalypse.

Thank you for your transparency President Obama

I have been watching the C-Span hoopla taking place on various media networks. What is going on with the Obama Administration? Are we a country that is falling apart? People are no longer riding the historical ship. President Obama is failing to deliver on his promises.

Politicians, in general, have to deceive the American people to secure support - i.e. national security and other significant policies. It is nothing new. Voters know this before they cast a ballot. We live in a time that is generating serious debates about whether big government is good for America. The No Child Left Behind Act of 2002 has already compromised the efficiency of education. Now we have to deal with a daunting task in revamping the healthcare industry.

President Obama may have had good ideas during his historical run, but he is trying to attack too many problems at one time. Transparency is one of those freedoms that people deserve as citizens. President Obama promised the American people he would share the policymaking process with his fellow Americans. What we are currently seeing is that both Houses are taking healthcare reform behind closed doors.

As Americans, we are primed to be manipulated into believing that change is possible. It is too much for the government to take on, as every social problem requires careful attention. What the country must decide is which fight has the tendency to be most important. The media is smearing President Obama because they made him into who he is today. They knew he would eventually fail at his initial goals which were set during his candidacy.

People are so gullible; they are crying wolf. Obama made promises to hook the people. There is nothing can be done now. The younger generation voted to put Obama into office. They will have to foot the bills for his failed policies. Transparency is out the door. People will need to wait until after healthcare reform is passed to determine whether it will affect them.

California's Governor Schwarzenegger recently pulled out from supporting the government's healthcare reform. Mayor Bloomberg also decided that current health reform is too risky for New York City. People are confused as to what should be done to fix the healthcare system. Americans don't know enough about policymaking; they question to support or oppose flawed bills. We have to wait and see where the healthcare bill - if passed - will takes us. Transparency is one campaign promise that has been broken.

Furthermore, the Iraq pullout plan that Obama promised to occur 6 months after assuming office was another one of his broken promises. President Obama hasn't allowed his current unpopularity to influence his executive decision making. Whether he has support or not, he knows that he has power over America. He has already assumed control of the highest office in the world.

People are unhappy about America's direction. Obama is leading America into dark times. Americans complain about Obama behind closed doors, but they avoid disputing the broken his promises. These are same people that will put President Obama into office for another 4 years. He is showing that experience matters most. Without having any experience as a governor, mayor, or as a senior Senator, President Obama has proven that he'll be more prone to making mistakes.

If President Obama waited, he would have been a great president. This would have been probable, assuming that his question was to become a good president. He decided to go after the presidency at the wrong time, which could tarnish his legacy and the future of other politicians. Any entity who has true intentions to change America will struggle to attract future support.

Moreover, Obama has backed away from delivering his promises because even he knows they are impossible requests in such a short time. He was been captured at eight different locations mentioning transparency, promising that the American people would have the chance to watch the policymaking process on C-Span.

Essentially, transparency is process that the government doesn't want to maintain at this current time. The media will continue to convince the people, therefore influencing them to abandon support on important issues they don't fully understand. For now, President Obama has to find a way in building back the trust he established during his historical campaign.

Transparency is one of the first promises that must be honored. America is counting on President Obama to be truthful about his promises, thus, making transparency an impending obligation to consider, yet once again.

The Secret to Becoming a Better Writer; Knowing when you Reach that Moment

The moment you can feel the words structure in my mind like a puzzle, that is when you know you have become a writer. The same applies to reading books; people that read books and retain the content are most likely going to be efficient writers. Focus on improving your writing skills through reading more books. The secret to writing better is to learn new vocabulary, write often and to read as much as you can.

Realizing your Dreams

Take a chance on your goals. You never know where the road will lead you.

Ghost Driver

When I was 16, I used to practice driving around the block in my mom's
car. At that time, I didn't have my drivers license yet.

One day, my father drove around the corner. My friend Ryan and I
ducked so my dad couldn't see us. He saw my mothers car driving
without anyone in it. We pulled into a court afterward.

My dad pulled back around and started to lecture me about the dangers
of driving without a license and also brought up the insurance issue.

I thought this was a funny story to share about the ghost driving
incident.
