As predicted, Miami Heat win a title!

nba miami heat - Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Chris BoshDo you feel the Heat tonight! I served up the post-game 2 post last week to address the OKC Thunder's Kevin Durant's 9-10 second shot miss as the deciding factor in the series. If Durant had made the shot, the Thunder would've competed better. However, the Heat proved their big 3 are far better than Thunder's Harden, Durant and Westbrook.

LeBron James finally earned his first NBA title with a stellar effort. He closed out the 2011-2012 NBA season, delivering a triple double to earn NBA Finals MVP. Miami Heat can celebrate their second NBA title, the first to come on their home floor. James deserves to be crowned the NBA MVP, Finals MVP and 2012 NBA champion.

I knew from the second Durant rushed the Game 2 shot, the Thunder lacked the champion aura to keep up with the Heat. OKC is no championship team. It doesn't matter how many close games OKC contended in, the end-result is a 4-1 loss in the NBA Finals. Their Game 2 mistake cost them a title.

The better team won. I'm glad that LeBron James won a title. He can put the Cavs owner's jealousy to rest. There are shortcuts to winning a title. The BIG 3 experiment worked like it did with the Boston Celtics. In the end, Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and the rest of the Miami Heat defeated the favorite.

OKC is an overrated team that finally met their match. Their Game 2 blunder and missed opportunities in Game 3 and 4 proved to be the difference. There is no way they could've competed in Game 5. The Thunder played against terrible Western Conference teams who lacked the punch to compete. The Mavericks, Lakers, and Spurs were incredibly flat in their season exit games.

The Heat defeated the Celtics in Game 6 on Boston's home floor, with James going off the hook for a superb 45 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. The Game 6 win gave the Heat the confidence to win the title. James and the Heat cruised to a Game 7 victory on their home floor. In the NBA Finals, the Heat proved to be too much for the Thunder.

Better luck next year OKC. I seriously doubt the Thunder will return back to the Finals again. On the opposing side, LeBron James and his Miami Heat team will make another run at an NBA Title. I waited until the Heat won a title to prove that previous NBA Finals dictate the outcome. No way OKC makes history with winning 3 games in a row.

Congratulations to the Miami Heat on the 2012 NBA Title!

LeBron James earned his first ring after three attempts.
