Every writer should have the following supplies in their inventory:
- A dry erase board (Purchase at office supply store - Wal-Mart, Target)
- A book on decoding dreams
- Paper weight
- Book stand
- cool pens
- pencils
- highlighters
- mini, colored index cards
- a public policy book
- mental disorders book
- a copy of John Steinbeck's Grapes of Wrath
- Gold Fibre products: Project Planning, Personal Notebook, and Writing Pad (Wal-Mart and Staples)
- T.S. Eliot The Waste Land and Other Poems (Barnes & Noble)
- A Mighty Bright book light with AC adapter (Barnes & Noble or Borders)
- An X-Facto mini Stapler
- A miniature notepad
- A mini LCD magnify glass (Barnes & Noble or Border)
- Page clips and or a book mark with an inspiring quote
- Clipboard
- A procrastination or time management book
- Book on how to find free money, grants, and tips
- A miniature address and contact book - if too expensive, then purchase a memo book
- digital voice recorder (also can use IPhone)
- Journal to keep track of dreams, ideas, and to track daily events
- A good agent
- An option for a screenplay or publishing contract for a book
- The first memory realizing your dream to be a writer
- A picture of all the things that you want
- A list of goals you want to accomplish in your writing career
Remember; once you stock up on supplies, you will have them near you to help with the writing process.
