How to attract traffic to your blog?

I started this blog last June. I have the same amount of ad clicks as I had several months ago. I don't even know if anyone is reading my blogs. I have seven times as many blogs as ad clicks. I have 4 friends on my blog list. It seems really hard to attract blog traffic and to also sell my domains.

When I enter screenwriting contests, I always lose to other writers who have less appealing scripts. I'm starting to think that I have to continue waiting for my change at success. My blog is a failure. My writing career hasn't amounted to nothing. My degrees are collecting dust. Student loans and debt are burying me in quicksand. It may seem that I'm complaining about struggles that most people are experiencing across the country, but I leave out all of my actual struggles.

Right at this moment, I would be happy if I can attract blog traffic and to sell a few of my domains. That would definitely be a good way to jump start my career. I have a few books and several screenplays that I have been working on for quite some time now. I'm hoping to find a moment to polish them. I may experience another obstacle with trying to find representation.

Most agents would rather look for established writers instead of taking on a new addition. Everything that I am lacking right now is because I can't seem to attract attention to my products and skills. Now that I'm fully prepared to take the next step, I can look to increase exposure. Any ideas on how I can attract more traffic to my blog? Thanks in advance.

What can education get you these days?

After earning many degrees, I still have yet to see the value in my education. I believe that people respect me better because i have education, but are there any other advantages for acquiring higher education? I have helped many students to earn their degrees. I always hear about how a degree now is worth very little as opposed to education in the past. I have taken advantage of every opportunity given to me. Times seem to be getting tougher than ever before.

So really, what can an education get you these days? I have been searching for my dream since the mid 90's. I've made many sacrifices. I paid my due many times over again. To this moment in time, I am worse off then I was after graduating high school nearly 16 years ago. I served in the military in the 90's as a medical technician, and then attended many great college to earn degrees. I have a handful of degrees, excellent writing skills and strong communication skills. Where has my education taken me?

I am still trying to figure out whether education is necessary. When you owe a fortune in student loans, you start to think if making the sacrifices to earn degrees is worth a lifetime of debt. If I don't live my dream, then I am forced to accept making little money, which will never be enough to pay off my student loan debts. It will take the latter part of my life to make a dent into the loans. It is not worth the effort to be looked at as being intelligent. Any person can learn to write, especially through reading books and communicating with people. Essentially, a person should make their own decisions in life, and avoid listening to what others are suggesting for them to do.

I noticed that my education has helped me to provide for others. Many students have graduated because I helped them to overcome their writing weaknesses and to influence them to realize their potential. Maybe that is considered my reward for improving my education. My professional writing dream is still waiting on the back burner. Until I make it there, I will continue trying to take advantage of every opportunity, possible leading me to become successful. I will prepare myself with confronting my weaknesses and improving my strengths. I urge you all to reflect on your mistakes to better prepare yourself. Good luck!

Find a career that will deliver long-term success. Many celebrities have found that their success evaporated as quick and it started.

Go after education because that is the only thing that can never be taken away from you. Any right, privilege, and all other things are temporary; they can be revoked. Education offers everlasting success.

Why should you be open minded about applying to college

Five years ago, I applied to four colleges: UCLA, UCSB, UC Berkeley, and UCSC. At that very moment, I wanted to attend UCLA more than any other college. UCLA's Film School was a dream like Stansford was for Sean in the Orange Couty film.

When it comes to college, you have take a chance in life. I was only accepted to UCSB and UCSC. UCLA was eliminated from the list. Should I have waited another year for UCLA or would it be wise to take a chance on one of the two colleges that accepted me? Time was not on my side. I wanted to finish school and go after a possible film career.

I already gave up on an Air Force career as a medical technician. Before joining the military, my main goal has always been the same - I wanted a career in Hollywood. Though, I wanted to be an actor, I compromised to be a writer, which I enjoyed and believed was more inspiring than acting.

Maybe I will have a chance to be an actor one day. Dreams never go as planned, but if you stick to them, anything is possible. I figured out that all my struggles helped me to become a better writer.

Think about it; the best stories have a ton of conflict, making the characters fight for what they want out of life. UC Santa Barbara would help me to take one step closer to starting a carrer in the film industry.

When I was accepted to two California universities, I had to make a pro and cons list. I already lived within 40 miles of UC Santa Cruz. I would be a part of the Digital Film & Media Program. At UC Santa Barbara, I was accepted in the Dramatic Arts Program. What decision was the best? I had to still consider what my fiance wanted as well.

After carefully analyzing the two colleges, I finally decided that I would attend UC Santa Barbara. We agreed that Southern California would be a part of our lives. I would also be closer to Hollywood, which I could take advantage of and possibly seek writing opportunities there.

I called the Film adviser at UC Santa Barbara and switched my major to Film Studies. The program was well rounded and covered the theory of film, television, and media. UCLA was always the first and only college that I wanted to transfer to, but I knew that if I waited for it, I risked not graduating altogether.

Five years after my decision, I graduated from UC Santa Barbara's Film & Media Program with a BA Degree. The college was near the beach, making the experience more awesome. I used to walk down State Street after night classes, the most famous street in Santa Barbara. Santa Barbara is one of those cities where you can relax and write. It's a writer's community.

I don't regret my decision to attend UC Santa Barbara. UCLA will always be one of those colleges that I wanted to attend. Maybe I can write a story about what it would have been like to attend UCLA.

Some students complain about their UCLA college experience while I would have enjoyed it no matter what obstacles were presented in front of me. Essentially, UCSB was a good college decision that will one day pay off, hopefully more sooner than later.
