Writing tip for the day 8/15/2009

Find a picture of something you want or someone you respect. Place the picture next to you. It can be anything. A picture of a car, a person you want to date, a picture of your mother (wanting to succeed for her), a home, food, a trip destination, surgery, an island, your pet (dog, hamster, cat, parrot, etc), and whatever else excites and inspires you to write.

If you have to dig up one of your high school yearbooks in the attic, please do it. Your time will be well worth the effort.

When you lose motivation, look at the picture. The picture will help you regain your focus, inspiring you to write again. Everyone loses their focus.

As you can see, I have some goals for the future. For now, choose one picture that inspires you. You can switch them around with each project.
